This photo is a display at Martin Luther King Jr., National Historical Site in Atlanta, Georgia. This display contains the belongings of Coretta Scott King, Martin Luther King’s wife. Coretta Scott was not only the wife of Martin Luther King Jr., but she had her own life as well. In this display there is a picture of her when she was young. While she was young, she was raised on a farm owned by her father. Another picture in this display is a picture of Coretta and Martin when they had their first born, they had three more children after that. Another picture in this display is a picture of her singing. She developed her singing talent at Boston’s New England Conservatory of Music.

I chose this picture because it gives people a better understanding of who Coretta Scott King was other than just being the wife of Martin Luther King Jr. This photo honors one person other than Martin Luther King Jr., while my other photos focus on Martin King and groups of people.
