1: there are bands of light where the windowsill meets the floor and where the walls meet that should not be there. An outdoor light source is causing that illumination to come in, and the windowsill/walls cast a shadow that suggests they do not touch the ground/eachother, when, in reality, they all interpenetrate. This seems to be a render bug, and I can't seem to shake it. Any ideas?
2: the people are intended to be flat black, as this is an architectural mock up and they aren't supposed to too real. I wanted to make them partially transparent, but when parts overlap, they become darker. Is there any sort of renderer that I can use that makes an object a single flat wash of color even when partially transparent?
