As well as extruding forwards and backwards we can extrude either side of our sketch. Watch what happens to the distance - it stays the same, half forwards and half backwards.

I took this picture one and a half years before. Some people are asking me about this picture for collection. So I re-produced the same photo with a bigger resolution.
Me in the Tank Chair with my marshmallow gun. I sniped several unsuspecting Techshop employees as well as hid on the tank chair behind a desk then sprinted out to score a direct hit on AUGI President David Harrington.

Next we will draw a line across the domino. Find the line tool, click on it and then mouse over the far away long edge of the cuboid and try to find the middle of the line, when you are near Inventor will 'snap' your mouse to the exact middle and turn your little grey dot into a big green one - like on my screen. Click here and then try to find the middle of the other side - see the next screen if you are unsure.
For now we'll stick with the default settings: extruding forwards and for a distance of 10mm when you have this chosen click OK to get your screen to look like this.
It's not my favorite picture I have ever shot for my company office. But it was selected by a column in company' website. So I'd like to share it.
To finish the line you should find the middle of the near long side, do the same as in the previous image – mouse over near the middle of the line. When you are over the middle the grey dot of your mouse will jump to the exact middle and turn into a big green dot. When this happens click once to finish the line.
