Pace's Ongoing Academic and Social Instructional Support (OASIS) hosted an event on April 17, 2018 which featured voices of students on the spectrum as they discuss steps toward gaining independence. It was facilitated by our very own graduate and full-time academic coach Zachary O'Neal.

 

The Ongoing Academic and Social Instructional Support (OASIS) program at Pace University offers one of the most comprehensive college support programs for students with learning differences. The program welcomes all qualified students with learning differences who would like to fulfill their dream of a college education. I am amazed that the cost of autism over the lifespan is 3.2 million dollars per person. Of that 3.2 million dollars, sixty percent is in adult services.

 

Autism Awareness is highlighted in April as the National Autism Awareness Month. There are several events that are held to raise money for Autism Speaks.
