The other day, Rob came up to me and said something that can best be typed as, "bPahhhdt." I, you know, was all like, "What honey?" And so he said it again and I was all like again. And again. And, I think, one more again.

Finally, he looked me square in the eye and said, very succinctly, ""bPahhhdt. bPahhhdt. P- A- T- H!" And he kind of widened his eyes for emphasis.

So, we went to the path, of course.

And I did not hand him a pad, or give him some fresh pants, or pat him on the head. Path.

By the way, I have Imagekinded myself. If you'd like a print of a photo not shown on the 'kind, let me know, okay?

I aksed my friend, Dan, to photograph Rob and me. I always wished I had someone around to catch some of this stuff. These make me infinitely happy. Thanks, D.

Check out Rob's smile!

Thank you again, Dan. And still. These photos will always be so special to me. Always.

Robbie is now playing games. He gets it. This is the end of the game where I sneak my phone into his stroller (after faking him out with that "Hey! Look over there, dude!" ruse) and he discovers it, giggles, then tries to hand it back to me.

It's an awesome game.

Most of us would just take in beauty with our eyes but my daughter, having autism, explores things on a much deeper level. She is amazing and inspirational.

Senator Bye and Jordan Oberstein, age 10, of West Hartford, at the opening of a display in the Legislative Office Building in Hartford of art by autistic students. Behind them is Jordan's collage, which he says represents two hands planting the seeds of care which all autistic children deserve. (April 25, 2011)

There were a few autism awareness quilts hanging up at the CNN Center this week. Today is World Autism Awareness Day. Taken April 2, 2008.

Colonize Planet Mars With 40 Billion To Support Life?

11/5/13 a study claims 40 billion planets could support life,

Not 40, not 40 thousand or 40 million, could that be right?

“Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences” finds,

Astronomical numbers that undoubtedly boggles our mind.

Potentially life-sustaining planets comes from a telescope,

750 thousand light years to get there is there any real hope?

How much bigger than formerly believed is the Milky Way?

More importantly, what does that have to do with life today?

12/06/06, Scientists are elated because there are,

Signs of water flowing freely on the Planet Mars,

And this according to their community is by far,

The most exciting thing since the forming of stars.

However, don’t get on your high horse too soon,

But 1st mankind has to spend time on the Moon,

Then again here’s my opinion for what it’s worth,

We should be more concerned about life on Earth.

Our war in a foreign land that many are calling lost,

Way too many limbs, lives, with billions as the cost,

Looks like not just the soldiers are coming home blind,

Mars is front-page news, what’s going on in the mind?

There’s MS, autism, cancer, Alzheimer’s, AIDS but first it’s HIV,

And it’s not just confined to monkeys but humans in every country,

With no cure, and arm and a leg for medicine only to slow it down,

Poorest nations can’t dig graves fast enough & bury underground.

I dare not talk about crime because that’s a sermon on it’s own,

Finally, in Ohio an investigation into fraudulent mortgage loans,

Cleveland Clinic makes billions but yearly taxes that do not pay,

Something about being a non-profit organization, or so they say.

Most certainly tops in medical research, they are health care pioneers,

Money making staffers reside outside the city because crime they fear,

Then no one worth anything wants their child enrolled in public schools,

Guess the powers that be in, “City Hall” are just robots without any clues.

CEO’s in salary, bonuses & buyouts are paid in stocks with $$$ in the billions,

Workers laid off, lost pensions, no health care benefits, number in the millions,

Reverend Rodgers and Deacon Anderson, two guys at a local Baptist Church,

Employed 75 years collectively losing everything, who cares if they were hurt?

Okay, where’s the President, Congress, The Senate or members of The House?

Snubbing their noses like great big elephants while being effective as a mouse,

They promised if we’d vote for them, these politicians would have our back,

It was long before anyone had ever heard of a desert community called Iraq.

On this side of the, “Free World” we’ve spent billions to bail out banks,

While in, less friendly nations we’ll spend billions on guns and tanks,

To close the economic gap for them as ours widens don’t you think?

Our domestic beer vs. Cuban cigars & imported Cognac we’ll drink.

Congressional approval signed by the President they pass a bill to rob,

Real hard working Americans like janitors protesting loss of their jobs,

We complain to our leaders but they have nepotism from Uncle Sam,

Do our votes really mean anything, is this just another political scam?

October 2010, again we cry water on a plant distant as the stars,

But did they find equal housing, education and happy hour bars?

Cures for cancer, MS, racism, hatred, an end to domestic abuse?

And if it has the same old stuff here on earth then what is the use?

Roughly 1 in 5 planets like our own sun have an Earth orbiting around,

Imagine how many gambling casinos could fit in a billion downtowns,

Might every jock quite possibly live their MLB, NFL or NBA dreams?

And playing each other once every 100,000 years with 9,000,000 teams.

I wonder how or what will be said in the upper echelon conversation,

Most can only imagine the steps necessary in making a reservation,

”Oh you should have been there, we danced graciously amid the stars,

Dinning on starship shrimp and lobster at the Hilton on Planet Mars.”

did this one ages ago for the artism - art for autism project - www.artforautism.co.uk/

Today it is World Autism acceptance and awareness day. Yes I have it, also ADHD. My biggest special interest are lampposts. So I combined two of my hobbies, lampposts and Lego.

The Parliament building in Ottawa, Canada is lit blue in support of World Autism Day.

Art for Autism.

Artism is an independent organisation aiming to create a book bursting with artists/graphic designers work which will be sold to raise money for the National Autistic Society charity through the use of Art.

I did this piece to collaborate with this great project. You remember the sketch? well this is the result. The only slight restrictions are black and white followed by one of the chosen colours So I choose a purple.

Chau, me fui.

Si quieren saber mas sobre el proyecto entren a:

My big little love. My son.

Its my sons favorite carnival of the year, especially since the local Star Wars club brings out their best costumes. Most of these were shot with my 45 and 75 f/1.8.

we celebrated autism awareness month today.

being different is not necessarily a bad thing... sometimes it just means being brighter

We were given these fun socks for Autism Awareness at my company a couple weeks ago.

Autism affects more boys than girls. The ratio of boys to girls with autism is about 4:1

And what's written on the t-shirts is I'm not sick I'm different !

... I was thinking that April is the National Autism Awareness Month And cause i work with kids with autism and special needs generally and I love their world the least I can do is to create something for all of them and challenge everyone to create art so people will know and share their personal experiences and thoughts... that autism is not a disease for example ... Let's see this year what people will post for those wonderful people. A photo text to keep it to their feed for one hour? Or a post that they'll be proud of and think how important is to support those people not for an hour but always ... Be creative and don't forget .art is to become human again !

In the largest study of its kind to date, researchers have used DNA sequencing to uncover dozens of genes that heighten the risk for autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
