Hohe Tauern National Park in Austria in early September 2010. The park is a fabulous place for at least one day of touring by car with easy short hikes. There are wonderful long hikes if you have more time.
The park has 32 mountain peaks over 10,000 feet (about 3,050 meters). This view is from a lookout on the Großglockner High Alpine Road. Just to the left of center is the 3,348 meter Hohe Dock mountain with its unusual shape.
The Hohe (High) Tauern is a mountain range on the main chain of the Central Eastern Alps, comprising the highest peaks east of the Brenner Pass. The crest forms the southern border of the Austrian states of Salzburg, Carinthia and East Tyrol, with a small part in the southwest belongs to the Italian province of South Tyrol. The range includes Austria's highest mountain, the Grossglockner at 3,798 metres (12,461 ft) above the Adriatic.

Panorama with Hochkünzelspitze (7,865 ft) and other mountains of Vorarlberg as seen from Kleinwalsertal (Kanzelwand, 6,421 ft) in the late afternoon.
Kleinwalsertal is a beautiful small valley in the western part of Austria. Even though it belongs to Vorarlberg/Austria, it only can be accessed by road from Bavaria/Germany due to the mountains.

^)(^ SORRY: I have to "slow down" (probably fewer photos, fewer input in groups, fewer comments and slower responses, etc.) for the next coming weeks, because we renovate our house ♫♪
I am very sorry about possible inconveniences ...

That's the name of this bronze sculpture in front of the Caricature Museum Krems.
Together with the sculpture by Mr. Österreicher in the immediate vicinity, it is the only art by Manfred Deix in public space.
