Blick vom Gmundnerberg über den Traunsee. Die Aufnahme entstand im Oktober als das Alpenvorland vom jährlichen dichten Nebel bedeckt waren. Der einzige Weg dem Nebel zu entkommen war nach Süden in die Berge zu fahren.

 

View from Gmunderberg over Traunsee. The shot was taken in October when the plains of Upper Austria were covered in thick seasonal mist. The only way to escape that mist was to drive south to into the mountains.

Zell am See is the capital of the Zell am See district in the Austrian state of Salzburg. It is the second largest city in the Pinzgau, with about 10,000 inhabitants.

 

Zell am See is a tourist destination and a transportation hub for the region. The German name Zell am See means the Italian Cella at the Lake.
