Sibiu is an attractive university city of Transylvania, Romania. The water is from fountains which come alive from time to time.

Very attractive small tanager of humid tropical lowlands. Found in humid evergreen forest edges, plantations, and gardens; at times with mixed-species feeding flocks of honeycreepers and euphonias. Often in pairs, feeding at all levels in fruiting trees and bushes. Note the short, curved bill. Males are a unique green-blue colour with black hood and a banana yellow beak. Female resembles female Red-legged Honeycreeper but is larger, brighter, uniform green, with yellow lower bill and greyish legs.

After the Lizard the other day, this Wall Brown Butterfly came to enjoy some rare and pale sunshine on a stone in our garden.
Morning at the botanical garden. I was on a conducted bird walk, but as the leader reminded us, midwinter isn’t the best time to see perching birds, and the sightings were slim. I’d rather walk and take pictures!
Came across this beautiful place at the weekend. Admission is by ticket only. We just admired from afar, but will return soon.

Growing in my garden but native to Queensland and New South Wales. The foliage is soft, silky -hairy. Attractive green and reddish flowers that are so attractive to nectar feeding birds. Growing between one and two metres ( 3-6ft ). Hard to find these days which is a pity as it is so attractive.
I am also one of the tourists to find these yellow-legged gulls attractive :)
Yellow-legged and large white-headed gull is a large gull of Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. It weights around 1200g and the wingspan varies between 138 to 155cm.

there were 2 of these female common mergansers and with 3 males vying for them on the pond, it made for a neat watch as the females resisted their advances...

Wisteria is a genus of flowering plants in the legume family, Fabaceae (Leguminosae), that includes ten species of woody climbing vines that are native to China, Korea, Japan, and the Eastern United States. Some species are popular ornamental plants. Wisterias climb by twining their stems around any available support.The flowers are produced in pendulous racemes 10 to 80 cm long, similar to those of the genus Laburnum, but are purple, violet, pink or white. There is no yellow on the leaves. Flowering is in spring (just before or as the leaves open) in some Asian species, and in mid to late summer in the American species and W. japonica. The flowers of some species are fragrant. Wisteria, especially Wisteria sinensis, is very hardy and fast-growing. It can grow in fairly poor-quality soils, but prefers fertile, moist, well-drained soil. It thrives in full sun. 17842
The attractive Long-tailed Duck breeds in the high Arctic and spends winters mostly along ocean coasts. The stunning males have two mirror-image plumages: in summer mostly black with a white face patch; in winter mostly white with rich brown, black, and gray on the face. In all plumages they have extravagantly long, slender tail feathers. Females and immatures are smudgy brown and white, without the long tail. These prodigious divers can feed as deep as 200 feet, swimming with their wings, catching invertebrates and small fish.
This attractive shorebird was a bonus for going to Hamilton to see the long-staying adult Long-tailed Jaeger; see yesterday's upload. This bird was not at all shy around people at one time running to within a couple of metres of me.

Attractive Grooved Bonnets (Mycena polygramma) growing from under a small log. Found in the woods Near Bath Racecourse, Lansdown, Bath, Bath & North East Somerset, England
