View of Bald Eagle over the Ashokan Reservoir in Ulster County, New York, USA, taken on March 20, 2011. We watched the eagle roosting in a tall pine tree for several minutes. Then, it took off & tried to attack a wounded (flightless) juvenile gull in the water. The attack we witnessed was unsuccessful & the eagle flew to a pine farther away.
