Finally a nice photo of the milky way. Getting up at 3am and taking photos was a weird activity, it's not something I'd do all the time. Unfortunatley the lack of sleep that night kinda made me a bit sleep depraved.

There is so much to make better next time. First of all the clouds, I don't like them at all in this shot, they are blurry. Else I really want to work on photo stacking (this shot was my first try on stacking)

Sony A7 with Voigtlander 12mm F5.6

Stopped on the highway near Heywood, VIC to see this magnificent display.

I've loved the look of time captured skies since the first time I saw one and thought it was faked. Unfortunately, since I live in a fairly populated area, it's not really an option at home. I came upon a chance just recently and took advantage of it. This is my first startrails attempt.

2012-12-14 Geminid meteor shower

Some nights when I'm driving home, I just can't keep myself from staring at the stars in the sky. Sometimes I pull off somewhere to take photos and enjoy them, other times I manage to make it home and set up my tripod in my backyard. You couldn't move me to the city for anything.
