A lone tree trunk sitting at the edge of a man made lake. The forest of daunting dead Gums which used to be around it have long since fallen over.

Lucky to capture the Milky Way above. The color tones cast on the Buddhas were from a nearby vehicle rear lights which was captured during the time lapse.

From this summer during my internship with George Holz. The Catskills are absolutely beautiful, and I think my aunt and uncle's house fits right in with the starry sky and the huge pines. :)
The dappled shadows on the house were born of pure luck... I was exposing when a car drove past. Its headlights filtering through the trees made this cool effect! Also, I popped a few flashes inside the house to illuminate the windows with CTO's.

A Photo Composite Presentation Of The Lunar Eclipse Of June 16, 2011.

This presentation is a composite of 9 photos selected from a series of 441 photographs taken on the night between June 15 and 16. Although I wanted to capture the complete series from the start of the eclipse up until the end, unfortunately, due to very thick cloud cover, it became quite difficult to even capture the photos used in this composite. Once the eclipse reached totality, it completely disappeared behind the upper cloud layer, making it impossible to continue to photograph anything except cloud movement. I had to stop any further venturing after that and wrapped up my gear around 1:45am.
Due to the cloud cover issue, one of the nine images presented in this composite had to be treated and manipulated with Photoshop, and I certainly do not feel too proud in doing that... but nonetheless, without this manipulation, the image presentation could not have been successfully completed as desired.
----------------------------
All photos in the composite were captured using the following equipment:
* Panasonic Lumix GF1
* Tamron 2X Teleconverter
* Sigma 50-500mm at 500mm
* DIY Micro Focusing diopter
All Photos manually focused and taken on manual settings at 1000mm X 2X MFT Angle of View, giving an actual angle of view equal to 2000mm focal length
