When you arrive at the entrance of this beautiful town, find a sign: ASSISI CITY OF PEACE.
Probably hovers a magic, a spell but the sign reflects the reality.
This is the city of San Francesco da Assisi.
They were two strong, magnetic personalities who could communicate with each other easily by glance, note, or shared prayer, whether they were in the same place at the same time or not. They were likely together on fewer than a dozen occasions over the space of twenty years, most of them only for a matter of hours. But they understood each other, supported each other, and complemented each other’s strengths and weaknesses.
