three rows x three columns

searching for 3 33 33 33 around me i could find only my phone, calculator, and my peach Jam jar

those are the three rows of a calculator keyboard,,, it was shot too close without using the macro option ( which results in a blur effect), however this mistake gave an nice touch, i found it a bit more artistic than the other trials,,,,

Brightness and contrast were slightly modified

i am looking forward for ur comments

Assignment 3

Porch stories @don village

I was lucky that there were five rock badgers (hyraxes) in the wadi today and that they were sitting close enough to capture in one frame.

next week's assignment is Dutch tilt. I'm learning so much from this online school. I love it!

I took this at the top of the parking garage at the Silver Legacy at night on a tripod. I liked the blue light but when I took the picture it turned out pink. There was a shadow from the lights reflecting on the right so to fix both of those things I changed the tint to -64 and the shadows to +31. I picked the Silver Legacy building because of the different angles of the building.

Alta Gracia, Dominican Republic

Workers at the Alta Gracia factory, set up as a "fair wage" factory recently by Knights Apparel, which is one of the largest suppliers of t-shirts and sweatshirts to colleges in the US. This factory is paying workers a living wage, about 3.5 times more than they are paid in other factories clothing factories in the DR.

The clothes are sold at a slightly higher price with tags explaining to customers that Alta Gracia (also the name of the clothing line) pays the workers more.

Black and White subject in Black and White

The assignment was to capture 4 different subjects from 5 different angles, or points of view.

On the negative the top of the bridge is not cut off. I somehow managed to do that on the enlarger... Of course, it was the first time I've ever used one!

Canon 35mm film camera (Rebel EOS 2000), T-Max 400 film (was supposed to be 100, but that's all I had at the time).

Canon EF 28-80mm @f/16 (probably), and likely at the wide end.

Please, please critique!

Taken for the Assignment 52 challenge- "Using lines for composition"

Also moved around he monument and got this shot by putting my camera near the base. It's the tallest oblisk in the little cemetery, but not as tall as this shot makes it look :-)

Once I started looking for lines, I couldn't stop! I posted several to my stream.

My last ever university report is handed up..!! YES!

As you can see, I'm holding my "Assignment Brief Case." It is feeling a little lighter because it's empty! I'm so glad that this big weight has been lifted off my shoulders and will be one of the last steps to end my University of Western Sydney Four Year Campaign of Educational Terror!

For this assignment I set up the statue against a blank wall in a dark room. I used a yellow light source which was below the statue and pointed it up at the subject. The light source was maybe a foot away from the subject. I wanted the statue to appear bigger than it actually was so I angled the light source to make it seem taller.

For this assignment, I inspired my work by Barbers Krueger's photography style and used my Canon EOS Rebel T7 to take the photo. I first created a black-and-white photo as the background. Then, I added bold words, making them stand out by using a red background and white text. The message in my photograph is that people wear masks to hide their true selves, afraid of what people might think of them. I believe that most people in the world create masks to hide the parts people or even themselves may not like (e.g., insecurity about how they look, creating low self-esteem). I have worn a mask almost my entire life and have grown tired of it. I hope my message will reach those who have been hiding behind a mask like myself. I want to reassure them that it’s okay to embrace who you are and to get rid of the mask(s) you wear.

Took this one walking with Karen this morning. She reminded me that the further awayfrom the background Missy was the better the bluring

Assignment - 1:

9. Use diagonal lines

10. Use leading lines

For Active Assignment Weekly: June 16-23: Reflections

So whats up with this photo? It is either terrible or lovely. The glass table gives a double reflection which gives it a subtle strangeness, but the gentle smile and direct gaze kept making me come back to it.

Strong light on the side, but shaded for table. Oh, there is one other strange aspect to this, what is it?

Increased exposure and whites in LR, plus some spot corrections and noise reduction.

Assignment was to use the Pen tool to draw curves and lines tracing a photo of a lotus flower. I like the curves all right, but hate the straight lines in the center. Ah, well.
