The Calvert Photography Club photo assignment for 03/16/2019 was "Light". We could only submit two pictures for judging. These were my attempts from which two were submitted. The subject matter consisted of a strong LED light array source, a very small glass cube(frosted on two faces), a plastic diffraction grating sheet, sometimes a plastic fresnel lens sheet, and on the bottom a sheet of very white high gloss ink jet printing paper.
Av f/2.8 28mm, ISO 200. taken in sunny conditions in late afternoon.
Like the other lines submission, this looked great live but the photos just seemed boring to me. So I tried some presets in Lightroom and then fussed with the details for this result. Used antique grayscale then worked with the graduated filter, added black, fussed with brightness. It now has, to me, a bit of sad or nostalgic feel.
Assignment: Tilt. I'm just kidding but it made me have a laugh and I couldn't resist taking a pic. I promise to be a little more creative in the next fortnight.
THe first monthly assignment I ever did for the Penticton Photography Club. The squashed blue glass bottle was once Bombay Sapphire gin, which I found in a thrift store.
