Assignment 9
This week's assignment was called "Shooting from the Hip." Basically, it challenged us to take shots without looking through our camera lense/viewfinder. We were thus supposed to shoot with the camera down by our hip and anywhere else we chose -- over the shoulder, under the knee, above the head, etc. etc.
So I lead off with this photo, and subconscioulsy I knew that wasn't a good idea, but for some reason I just really liked this picture. Yeah, it's Harry and he's Happy -- so what? Hey, a girl's allowed to like a photo, alright? Prof didn't like it, but I liked the angle of it, the prominence of Harry as he slides into the top of the frame, the two arrows pointing up at him from a rather obtuse angle off the horizontal. And the sky is so blue! I wouldn't frame it, but I do like it.
