PinkGoldfish...did I do these right? I have a feeling I did not do something correctly...big surprise!!:) Please be brutally honest with me!!:)
I used the black and white photograph overlooking the building from the north side. I worked with the paintbrush to line the grass areas of the photograph to enhance the hue/saturation of the image bring about a vivid color to the grass. I perform the same procedure for the building’s rotunda and fresh water giving a pleasant color form by adjusting the lighting’s shadow/highlights and brightness to bring forth a vivid picture to the eye.
The final altered photograph shows bright pleasant colors concentrating primarily on the major nature settings which are the water and the grass. The building rotunda is painted in golden to offset the higher point of the picture thus captivating the skyline. The crystal blue of the water gives me a feeling of being pure when I see it. The new photographs bring the color objects to life.
ake a passage from a book that has been important to you, and shoot it. However you want. If you want to do something literally, go for it. If you want to imply the passage, that’s cool too.
I went with a passage from the book In an Image by Dara Horn
"When he looked at things, he didn't see them as other people do. Most people register what they see, however unconsciously, as part of a continuum of time and space, each plane and moment melting to the next like sand castles dissolving underwater. But when he looked around, he saw the world separated into frames, as if his eye were a camera and he were cropping out rectangles of the world, by blinking an eye and trapping a moment on the film of his retina. And it showed in the way he glanced at things."
Assignment #17 Boundaries
Protecting Nature: The Importance of Boundaries in State Parks.
Boundaries in state parks are essential for preserving our natural landscapes. They safeguard wildlife habitats, protect sensitive ecosystems, and help maintain the beauty of these spaces for everyone to enjoy. By guiding visitors along designated trails and limiting access to vulnerable areas, these boundaries ensure that the impact of human activity remains minimal, allowing future generations to experience these pristine environments. Striking the right balance between conservation and public enjoyment is key, making state park boundaries an important part of responsible stewardship of our natural world.

ECDoug04 concerned: Personally my favorite from the entire quarter, this assignment was last minute, after watching War Photography. Head to to the water front in Foster City, The water receded, I just walk along the mud and "bedrock", which is full of crushed shell to take these picture.
I hope that I can add these to my Final Project, if the print come in time.
