This picture is a still from my sound video "Giseh", entirely programmed with GFA-Basic and Assembler on an ATARI computer in February 1992.
These 20 years old graphics have been realized with a screen resolution of 320 x 200 Pixels and only 16 simultaneous colors. In order to get more colors, I changed my palettes during the piece.
Two sinus waves with one harmonic are used for the X and Y coordinates of the constructions and as paths for the sprite animations.
The movie, which is one of the multiple realizations, due to some random values, of the piece, has been recorded with an analogue video system and has recently been digitized by the author.
Please use my Album when you want to see all the selected frames in the right order:
A 10 print series of photos shot in and around my sister home in Narrowsburg, NY. The photos taken across several years included landscape, interior, and abstract images.
Printed on mate paper. Each print was put in a double mat, the top mat holding a piece of handmade Japanese paper or some embossed foil, the same dimensions as the photo, and thus completely obscuring the photo. Each cover piece had a colored thread wound in unique patterns and glued to the back, the thread protruding through the front of the paper with a small decorative bead on each end. The whole set was then in a linen box with tissue and an enclosed note, inviting my sister to pull the threads, tearing the cover paper and exposing the underlying images.
Completed and presented the set at the end of 2019. I have only these rough photos of the pieces being assembled, but not the whole set in its final presentation, nor any of the revealed images.
The passage of time blurs our memories.
Sometimes a bauble, a sound, a drifting scent, or a flash of color sparks a vague recollection. If we follow the right thread, we can find again what the years have hidden. The details may be lost to time, but a sense of place, or a moment in time is recalled - and all the emotion of it brought out into the light.
Be open to the catalyst that invites reminiscence and pull forth gently to recall the warmth and comfort of a home in the country.

You can see that i have drilled holes in the piece of aluminum from the clock and hung the chimes. I played around with the order of them but having them in the same order as the xylophone makes the nicest sounds.
Here is the completely assembled box. The SparkFun breakout is enclosed, and the backing of the enclosure is in place. You can see the USB port on the side for power, though there is some space inside the enclosure for a LiPo battery. The USB port would remain however for charging.
