The PCB fitted to the monitor chassis sideplate and the chassis assembled. The top brace strip from the main chassis is used to keep the sides aligned.
Neck is on, frets in place, this picture shows the bridge being glued on. Next I make the nut, put it in place, make the saddle, string it up, and work on the intonation.
Here is the stacked prototype - roughly what it looks like when it is assembled. You might notice that there's a different color of the wood between the prototype and the laser cut material. That's because there's a protective layer of what I would describe as scotch tape on the laser cut material. This helps ensure that your order gets to you, from Ponoko without scratches on the surface. It peels away easily, and covers both side of the material.

Artisan fishing .... Making a Spiller with a tall small net bin for the hooks instead of a 'spiller basket' of old.
For PZ849 'Stargazy Pie' - Porthleven - Cornwall
Fully assembled helmet.
The helmet was built as part of my Halloween costume 2013.
It features electroluminescent wire which can be turned off / on (blinking) / on (constant) and a 2000rpm 100x100x12mm Scythe Kaze Jyu Slim 2000 fan which can be speed-regulated using a potentiometer. Fan and lights can be turned on/off seperately with switches mounted to the inner helmet.
The whole contraption runs on 8 AA batteries.
It can be diassembled into multiple parts for easier storage.

"The products above are the result of a collaboration between IKEA and Beckmans College of Design in Stockholm. As part of our ongoing ambition to work with interesting schools and young designers, we want to explore the question; how will things look if we create them together? In a workshop, 22 students sketched energetically and created beautiful artworks that were combined into patterns. The final results are products with unique and playful patterns that represent the best emerging Swedish talent - and show the fun, warmth and openness of creating together. "
