I don’t know the artist but sure many hours were spent here. This is just one half but lots of fun for the eyes. It is located inside Fan Design Studio and café in Shekou.

Illuminated assemblage.
The keys under the girl are only visible when the light is on. Wood box, vintage papers and ephemera, antique skeleton keys, vintage optical lens, mica, buttons and fabric, glass slide, old metal thimble, piece of a vintage hard cover of Alice in Wonderland, an old ruler, beeswax, paint, copper leafing and light.

This nude is painted/carved onto/into an assemblage of wood. Its about 3'x3'. Check out the detail next door in the stream to see better how the surface tessellates at different levels. This one was very difficult/fun to do. ;)

I've been working in several new directions this year. Much of my previous work involved photographing arrangements of things (some folks called them digital assemblages or digital collage)-- with these assemblages I'm gluing and physically constructing objects.
