While sight seeing in the north I visited the Artic Tern Colony. I was very careful to stay outside of the boundary, as not to disturb them. I got lucky with some flying past with Dinner.. only had my 200mm would have loved to have had my long lens.

Arty could not resist being part of the photo shoot. She is very photogenic so I don't really mind having her in the shot.

It's total crap really, but there will always be some arty farters who like this.

I adore how close up the detail is on this butterfly. You can see the spots on its eye and everything (at original size anyway). Its wings where shut when i took the photo and they opened just as i snapped. Poser!

Thank you all for your comments on the previous pictures. Now I'm going to take you to the Artic Circle. We passed this sign as we traveled from Norrbotten to Lappland, the northern-most region of Sweden with endless forests, mountains and wilderness.
