I grew these spray Chrysthanmums from rooted cuttings, grew them on, planted them out into the garden and then totally left them to their own devices for 9 weeks. They have no resentment at all and we have a succession of blooms to give away and display indoors. I also photographed a vase of them in our kitchen, of course.
After running the gaunlet of being head pecked by these Terns, it was good to move away and watch them fish from a distance.

This is a continueing project in which I will shoot smokers. If they smoke in public they will be shot. There are groups of smokers gathering outside their workplace. There are solitary smokers, there are proud smokers and secretive smokers and those who are ashamed to smoke.
To make garden compost, in reality, a suitable environment for earthworms. In their turn, the worms are a source of food for a variety of birds and small mammals but also enrich the soil qualities for the use of Man. A virtuous cycle.
I only ended up doing a couple of sketches at the arty party last night (i was literally too exhausted to do more) but i drew this couple at the davis art center.
An arctic fox conceals itself in rye grass covered with hoar frost. Arctic foxes wait patiently to hear mice and voles under the snow.
Arty must be feeling the funk that I have been in, and has been making me laugh most of the day!

Artic themed train to tie in with the CITY Artic range. This train is five flat(ish) wagons in the Artic colours. They carry a special Artic misson that is made up of two small habitation units for the explorers each equipped with sleeping, bathroom, cooking and entertainment / communication station as well as a hot plate for food prep. As well as this there is a small snowmobile. Then the mission specific items, a snowmobile and trailor that seperate to form a small launch pad and lauch control unit. Then of course there is a wagon carrying eight small rockets with drones / observation units that can be launched from the pad. One of the flat wagons is equipped with a crane to help unload the habitation modules as they are relatively bulky. All two Artic explorers need to undertake a secret artic mission!
