This the first image of those I will be uploading from the second leg of my trip. This is some artwork in the lobby of the Regency Tunis hotel (not surprisingly, in Tunis, Tunisia). I think it is meant to resemble an ancient fresco common in public areas a couple of thousand or so years ago. Tunis is the modern city built near the ruins of ancient Carthage.
Sorry about the angle, this was very high up on a wall.
I call this one (Rainbow Landscape)… Well this artwork is part of a continuing experimentation with different styles. This is two original tempura paint artworks layered and blended in PSP. As an artist I still seem to be searching for my signature style, the problem is, I like to change things up. Actually, I find the process of trying new things really fun! To me, experimentation with art is more exciting! I enjoy creating something with a new approach, rather than doing the same style or technique over and over; as most artists are suppose to do. I know, at some point I need to choose a technique, or similar style I do best and then try to focus on that. For now, I just want to learn as much as I can about everything I can. Remarkable 16th century botanical calligraphic artwork by two masters of the past: Georg Bocskay (1510–1575), court secretary to Ferdinand I, and Joris Hoefnagel (1542–1601). First created by Georg Bocskay to demonstrated the different styles of calligraphy of the era, the book was later ornamented with intricate fruits, flowers, and insects by Joris Hoefnagel and commissioned by Emperor Rudolph II, Ferdinand’s grandson. Because of quarantine, or lockdown, or shelter-in-place orders (California, Bay Area) we all have plenty enough time for luxury activities. I am back on track with artwork after several year of silence.

Another adapted page from last year's calendar!! I hope you have a lovely month! We have a few nice plans this month but also the first visit to a dentist in more than 2 years. Our NHS dentist went private a couple of summers ago and we decided to try and go to a dentist practice closer to home, if we're going to have pay more anyway. We were accepted by this new one, but had our appointments postponed. It was a married couple that ran the practice and the husband had flown into a rage one day and stabbed his wife! (You couldn't make it up!) He's in prison now (obviously) and his wife has returned to the practice, but it's made them behind, what with one thing and another! If it's not cancelled again, Tim, JJ and I will have our first check ups there tomorrow!
I have added digital painting to the title as people seem to think this series is photographic...I guess they are not really looking!
