During the past few weeks (July'08) I had a chance to paint in a big workspace because a friend was on vacation.
Three weeks is short but it made me feel in my element to paint big.
size: 150 x 200 cm, acrylics on paper covered with a plastic sheet.
"PASSAGEM" - obra site specific realizada a partir de pesquisas de campo, imersões e coletas de material vegetal pertencentes à paisagem do lugar. A instalação possui 18 metros de comprimento e estabelece uma relação de escala com o corpo do observador que adentra seu espaço interno, ativando a estrutura fÃsica do lugar e resignificando nossa própria percepção do espaço e daquilo que se constrói enquanto paisagem.

In the next month I'm working on revisions to this first volume of a graphic novel I've been working on called "Unpacking". I'm rewriting dialogue, reordering sections, cutting out some parts, and adding others.
This is an image in progress from one of the pages I'm adding into the book. It, like most of the scenery in the book, is based on photos I took during one of my many, many trips to Vancouver to see Glenn (my ex BF), my friends, and my sister.
