Coming March 1st from Lost Junction to the Arcade! Pictured with various other cool Arcade things!

In the Summer I have these beautiful Spiders in many places in the garden,

When I saw the vibrating web it prompt me to do my research,

The black-and-yellow argiope breeds once a year. Adult males roam in search of potential mates. When they find a female, they build a small web with a white zigzag band across the middle either nearby or in an outlying part of the female's web. Potential males court by plucking and vibrating her web.

It is actually pulsating very rapidly as if it was mad, it probably saw me coming:-)

It is most satisfying to learn how nature works. for me is like therapy without paying for it:-)))

A while ago I started going around the old town looking for artisans who practice some traditional manual work, which unfortunately, is bound to disappear in the future. One such workshop, is this traditional woodworking and wicker chair shop. I shot this on Delta 100 with the Canon Eos 30. I developed the roll in Xtol 1+1

Something different from the archives: I wish I had been able to buy one of these amazing glass bowls being sold at a craft show in Stowe Vermont when we were there but there was NO room in my car for extra stuff (tiny truck on a Z4 roadster)...love the reflection on the cloth in the front.

A watchmaker is an artisan who makes and repairs watches. A modern watchmaker is more likely to repair a wristwatch or a pocketwatch than to actually create a watch from scratch. A skilled watchmaker can typically manufacture many of the parts found in a watch. A person who primarily repairs watches, even if he is not qualified to make all components of a watch, is still called a watchmaker, rather than a watch repairer.

A watchmaker, as the name implies, works primarily on watches, not clocks, the latter is called a clockmaker. Some watchmakers work on clocks, but the skills and tools needed to work on a watch are not always applicable when working on a clock.

This local watchmaker is a great character and he works on both watches and clocks, and always has plenty of work.

"entrez dans la première entreprise de France"

every year in January, after all the Christmas stuff has been packed back in the box, I'm happy to kind of hibernate for a few weeks. Content to hang around the house and not go much of anywhere.

Then the cabin fever sets in!

We finally left the immediate vicinity of our house this weekend and went to Peddler's Village for dinner.

The shops were all closed, but it was still nice to stroll around the complex and window shop and play with our cameras.

It's all perspective...

Made in my cast iron skillets. I used a combo of White and Sprouted Spelt Flour. The Sprouted Spelt is darker and has a nutty taste. I made Garlic Bread with some of it. We had it with the Lasagna and a tiny glass of Dry Red Wine.

Castelsardo is a coastal hill town in the north-west corner of Sardinia. It built up around a castle built in the 12th century by the Doria family of Genoa. In the narrow cobbled streets you can find many artisans, such as this lady weaving decorative items, primarily to sell to the tourists

On display outside a Midown Tampa pizzeria, a classic Fiat 500. Produced between 1957 and 1973, the type is still commonplace in Italy, but it was never imported at the time in the United States. The later 21st century iteration of the Fiat 500 did sell well among a certain type of car buyer, though imports have now ceased. Consumer Reports magazine gave the modern Fiat 500 its lowest rating for overall reliability, at just 34%.
