This soap is made with goat milk and has a soft frankincense aroma, earthy scent with a deeply mysterious nuance.
Minjara has chosen as its base, the majestic setting of the Rashid Karameh International Fair (Northern Lebanon), designed by the famous Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer in the 1960s.

Barely did tourists buy this old man's works made of bamboo, although bunches of people went over him everyday. The frame lean agaist wall is his honorary certificate. He is so proud of this.

卖竹艺品的老人
说他老人有些过分，其实他并不老。也许是经历了比一般人更多的沧桑，也许农村人过多的劳累，使他更显苍老。
借他人房屋一隅，摆上精心制作的竹艺品，老人蜷缩在所剩无几的空间里，在期待游客购买之余，不时重新布局数量不多的心中宝贝。
老人在看到我在拍摄，赶紧向我展示镜框中的荣誉证书，并尝试各种摆设方式以便突出它的重要性。
然而我不忍打消老人的热情，我为他和他的证书以及竹艺品们拍了若干不同组合的照片。事实上，我坚持认为这张最初的照片更显得朴实。

Hongcun 宏村
Xidi and Hongcun, two traditional villages in Southern Anhui, China, preserve to a remarkable extent the appearance of non-urban settlements of a type that largely disappeared or was transformed during the last century. Their street plan, their architecture and decoration, and the integration of houses with comprehensive water systems are unique surviving examples.
The two ancient village were inscribed as World Heritage in Nov 2000.

So I decided to lean further in to one of my inspirations for these looks which is the Maison Margiela Spring Couture 2024 Artisanal collection. I added the voile sleeves (made from a pair of Barbie tights) and some customised shoes and stockings (made from Mlle Eden's broken shoes, some MH socks and IT packaging ribbons). I love how the shoes/stockings came together - the Margiela ones have torn nylons worn over high heeled glossy white pumps. The inspiration for the Margiela collection is based on porcelain dolls and I think Agnes has the perfect aesthetic for these looks. I love that this whole ensemble is quite authentically inspired by the Margiela collection including the padded corset worn under the dress and the voile sleeves that even at Margiela look like they are made from tights with the white gloved hands (In Margiela they were jointed to look like porcelain doll hands). I also attempted to photograph Agnes with some dramatic lighting to mimic how the runway show was staged in a louche dank tunnel next to the river Seine.

My first attempt at artisan bread baking. This is a rustic Italian loaf, made with a "biga" a form of pre-ferment, somewhat like a "poolish" or "pate-fermentee" akin to a sourdough starter.
Artisan Coffee opened its doors in back in 2011, with its first outlet in lovely Putney. The seem to have been going strong, opening their third outlet in August 2014, just off of Ealing Broadway. It was at this store where I studied for part of The SCAE Coffee Diploma (since I’m pretty much powered by caffeine it seemed like a good idea for me . Training takes place in 'The Training Room' - described as 'a cross between a lab and workshop'
We are ‘educated’ by Alessandro Bonuzzi (@alebonuzzi) - the first ever SCAE registered professional barista, not just within the UK but within Europe. He is from Verona and at first glance looks like some kind of Italian jazz prodigy. He was previously in the wine industry and uses a lot of wine metaphors to explain coffee tasting and varietals. In between delivering technical info on grind permeability he will occasionally say great stuff like "If the internet works, we can watch videos on the internet!"
The cool thing about here is that you get a schooling in coffee in a very non academic environment. It is a good feeling. As people here are often working on their laptops or catching up with friends, and our little group learning fits in entirely. at no point do you feel like 'trainees' or out of place. The school, which is an extension of the coffee shop, was set up by Edwin and Magda Harrison, who arrived back in the UK after spending (and presumably meeting during) a year in Uganda. Edwin is English, whereas Magda is Australian (apparently a country also known for a fanatical dedication to 'the world's favourite beverage’). Educational fun with small scale adrenal damage.
