Putting finishing touches

Panagia Thasos, Greece.

Between the two courses of my lunch set, one of the junior staff came by to drop off some information regarding the new artisan bread being produced by the company (this was new, as no such info card was produced during my last visit in Feb. - when the bread was first introduced). I found the pride infectious - every channel of the establishment was aware and had such great respect for this oft overlooked product. As one who is passionate about bread, I couldn't help but beam, not only because of the realization that bread is more than a vehicle for butter, but that my very own Mr. Wilson was the reason all this was possible.

"King Richard's Faire"

The National Archives Shop is hosting a holiday fair! "The Way We Worked" American Artisans Fair opens December 2 and closed December 6. Local craftspeople will be selling handmade jewelry, apparel, prints, and household items.

The fair was inspired by the New Deal projects that put artists to work during the Great Depression. The fair is sponsored by the Foundation for the National Archives and proceeds fund the education programs at the National Archives.

Education And More is a Christian, Fair Trade charitable organization providing assistance to artisans and their families through student sponsorship educational opportunities and Fair Trade.

The artisan weavings and handcrafts that are sold by Education And More are made by several artisan groups in the villages around Lake Atitlan, Guatemala.

Education And More is a proud member of the Fair Trade Federation!

Measurements before carving the wood

We had our first dusting of snow yesterday. Annie and I headed to one of our favorite events, the Monches Farm Artisan's Crawl just a few miles from my house. Here is a short movie from my unedited photos.

It cuts out due to flickr's video time limit, but you get the idea. ;)
