On the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People protesters in Canberra targetted the technology companies supporting the genocide in Gaza. Palantir Technologies which has an office in Northbourne Avenue is a US company funded by the CIA which has a long history of involvement in state surveillance, racist policing and human rights violations. Palantir is currently openly supporting the Israeli military and government in their genocide on Gaza. It reports being “proud to support Israel in every way [it] can”. It says it is working with Israel to keep them “armed and ahead”.
In January 2024, Palantir signed a deal with the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) to increase its “advanced technology provision” to Israel in support of war related missions. Palantir’s CEO Alex Karp says he is “exceedingly proud” of Palantir’s involvement in what he calls “operationally crucial operations in Israel”. Palantir recently launched an AIP (Artificial Intelligence Platform), which claims to be able to analyse enemy targets and propose battle plans. Artificial intelligence is an amazing tool for visualizing the future. Here are some cool scenes I just created for our Pataphysical Time Machine, using ChatGPT to write the scenarios and Midjourney to make the images. I asked the AI for a "science fiction poster of a rogue band of diverse time travelers exploring ancient and future eras in search of true love.” My goal is to create an animated firmament of future worlds against the top back wall of the new roof we’re building for our interactive art exhibit.
As a proof of concept, I projected this first set of images on a makeshift screen, to show what our “AI Sistine Chapel” might look like above the Time Machine. My esteemed partners in crime loved it! Our fearless leader, Dr. Rindbrain, pronounced it “fantastic,” suggesting we integrate it right away into our exhibit. And our youngest pataphysician, Dr. Little Johnny (a.k.a. Kas) liked it most of all, dragging his mom into the greenhouse to meet our new friends from the future.
I too was happy with this first experiment. I loved collaborating with my AI co-creators for this rapid prototype. It was a lot easier and faster for me to bring my vision to life with AI, rather than toiling with conventional art tools. And I made the final creative calls by selecting the variations that inspired me the most.
Artificial intelligence is growing at an incredible pace, and we have a unique opportunity to use it for creative purposes, while defining the boundaries of our relationship with these wild machines. I had to keep my AI bots on a tight leash to get what I wanted — which is exactly what they need, so we can train them to become dependable partners over time.
Next, I hope to use another AI to create videos from those images, and develop some of our new characters to interact in short stories illustrating those alternative futures. Vive la collaboration entre l'homme et la machine!

The stomach planet Inspired by 80's Cuban Sci-Fi stories. I remember a book where astronauts land in a planet that has some sort of root or primitive plant all over its entire surface. There were some lakes around, all with bright different water color. While exploring the surface the astronauts realize everything human that comes in contact with the surface of the planets erodes rapidly. The ship, the trucks, the boots, and soon after the ship starts to been suck into the colorful lakes. They discover after the entire planet is alive and all shaped to eat, digest everything that lands on it.
Prompt; " Alien planet covered in some sort of vines with sporadic fern like leaves sprouting from the vines. There are 5 roundish lakes on that planet, they have different color liquid. A modern white spaceship landed near a lake. "
