Additional Egyptian Artifacts from the British Museum. The BM has the third largest collection of Egyptian artifacts behind the Cairo Museum and the Vatican. This is due to the fact that a large number of finds in Egypt were due to British Archaeologists.

June 18, 2017 - The Xi'an Museum was opened in to the public on May 18, 2007 which happened to be World Museum Day. "The architectural design of the museum follows the traditional Chinese concept of the universe - a round heaven and a square earth. It has been recognized as one of the ten landmark buildings of the city and offers excellent facilities for the display of precious cultural relics thereby ensuring their full appreciation". Humans collect stuff. Memorabilia to remind us where we've been. This is a mask from Venice that we picked up on a trip there. In front are some guitar amplifier tubes from my son's amp that needs some service. To the left is a piece of a fan that was bought on a trip to China, and to the right is a thermometer that my mother gave us. It's all on top of a piano that was the one I learned how to play on that my daughter now plays on.

This was shot with a Summilux 50mm 1.4 on the E-P1. Really shallow DOF, and nice tones.
