1998 25’H x 70 ’W x 20’D Hamilton Station, Hamilton, NJ Aluminum / Light Railgate is the portal to the Hamilton light rail station south of Princeton, New Jersey. The sculpture is transparent, providing a view of the skeletal structure of the work. It is illuminated from within at night.

Norman Cornish the 91 year old UK artist who worked 33 years from the age of 14 in four coal mines before developing a career as a painter, has a retrospective exhibition at the Northumbria University Gallery of his early drawings through to his latest 2011 work. Learning to paint at art classes ran by a cultural settlement, Cornish is quoted as saying "I didn't have a lot of time, but I had to paint... it's an itch that you have to scratch", becoming a full time painter at the age of 47 after suffering back pains. Renowned for his depiction of otherwise ordinary day to day imagery of life within his narrow confines, often reminiscing times gone by without motor vehicles, people wearing hats and scarves, and interaction on the streets.
2006 Four towers: 27’H x 6’ diameter each Twin Rivers Community Park, Greeley, CO Glass / Aluminum Four colorful semi-transparent towers flank the entry to the Park, evoking the cyclical rhythms of seasonal change. The glass panels were fabricated in the Franz Mayer of Munich Studios. At night the towers are illuminated.
Currier Museum Art Center students were inspired by Abigail Anne Newbold's exhibition "Crafting Settlement" (on view March 30-July14, 2013) and created their own "settlement" during April Vacation week Art Camp.
