I used a wood shelf panel for this piece. It needed to be large to hang in the front of the entrance to the retreat. It is mixed media, collage using acrylic paint and the lettering is my brush calligraphy.

Greatest Art Class in the Universe - Class Portrait

Art Instructor Andrew Kong Knight

Understanding abstract art does not come naturally for everyone. It is best to see abstract art in person to get the full effect. This will help you understanding abstract art. You can’t get the full impact of a piece of art from a small photo in a book or an image online. In person you can see up the close texture, size, stroke of the paint brush or pencil, shine or matte of the surface.

This was a great introduction to the world of robotics. Everyone learned to create a basic circuit, what a short circuit is, how to mount and power a motor to create a one-of-a-kind moving robot and then the invention and creativity took hold. Even the on lookers had to get in on the action! Great job Ben Finio, Maria Christopher and Daymaker Lavon! — at Soha SMART.

The Illuminated Page is inspired by the delicate motion created by turning a page, and references the transparent, glowing quality of illuminated manuscripts. The semi-transparent arcing forms are lit from within. At night the sculptures glow.

Let oil painting enjoy you the nature. Oil Paintings are the stuffs of a certain time and certain set, and art history of course tries to place these works in their superior setting. Any body learning western art would study the styles of the Oil painting, Baroque, traditional, idealistic and Modern periods, and to know the complex interaction of consideration, support, civilization and monetary issues, which the oil paintings represent.
