The Red Arrows during a display.

It's been a while since I was last on here. Sorry about that. I've missed a lot of your uploads.

"I hope that I can turn back the time to make it all alright, all alright for us..."

NJ Transit Arrow III car no. 1509 is the lead unit on Montclair-Boonton Line train 208, seen approaching Glen Ridge Station. The signals here at CP Glen are approach lit, and appear to only activate for trains within the block proceeding them - they illuminated immediately as the train passed and entered the signal block.

This new formation by the fabulous Red Arrows was seen at Eastbourne Airbourne's Air Show today and Friday. The displays were over the English Channel and above Eastbourne beach, East Sussex.

Macro Mondays. Theme: arrow

After the Airshow at Blackpool the Red Arrows were stabled at Blackpool Airport. Thanks to the ideas of Ian and Kall Evans for the quick change of location the sun just held for the take off. The first 3 arrows depart and in the background are the rest on the runway waiting their turn to go.

Arrow Mill, Castleton, Rochdale was was designed by Sydney Stott for R & T Howarth. It was built very quickly. The contract to build was signed in late 1906, the first brick was laid in January 1907, the engine first ran under steam in February 1908 and the first cotton was spun in this large mill fifteen months after the first brick was laid. It was acquired by Courtaulds Ltd in 1934 and sold by them to Arrow Mill Fabrics Ltd in 1979. This was the last cotton mill to operate in the Rochdale area and did not cease production until the late 1990s. It is now listed Grade II and is in multiple occupation.

Prima prova di lunga esposizione notturna

No idea what it originally was, but a giant arrow will always get my attention.

Happy Roid week. :)

3-D targets also contain iron, for example in the leg of a deer. If an arrow hits it, the tip will be flattened and the shaft can splinter

A female Arrow-shaped Micrathena, Micrathena sagittata, from Lizard Tail Swamp Preserve (TNC), New Jersey, USA, on September 30, 2017. This species is a real challenge to photograph, as usually the web location precludes even a view like this...and your flash often overwhelms the shiny, pale abdomen.

The Red Arrows put on a fabulous display at the Scottish Airshow at East Fortune on the Saturday.

This was a bit of an accident. I was playing around with many options on this old bottle we had in the house, which had a LOT of arrows on it.. I decided to pour beer in the bottle, and it resulted in a foamy mess, which resulted in this. I then accidentally over adjusted the saturation, but then liked it. My original choice was to go for black and white. Hope you all see the arrow!
