RAF Hawk T1 "Red Arrow's" departing for a training sortie whilst on a short detachment at RAF Lossiemouth .
The last day of the training for the Red Arrows in 2015 over their base at RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire. The weather wasn't the expected blue sky and sunshine for this mornings flying. Instead it was cloudy and dull. Never mind, still managed a few photos as they went roaring past.
The RAF Red Arrows aerobatic display team have this week been undertaking practice displays close to their home base at RAF Scampton. This image of them practicing over RAF syerston which is near to Newark Nottinghamshire.

A wide-angle view of Vesturhorn in south-east Iceland, taken during gale force winds. I had the wind whipping at my back; it was quite unpleasant and not, sadly, conducive to long exposures, as this would have looked wonderful with those clouds streaked across the sky!

I've had this build sitting on my shelf for a month or so and I'm finally just getting around to taking pictures. I will say I'm rather indifferent towards it, much like the show itself, and this could have just have easily ended up in the scrap pile. So this is one lucky build...
Taxiing. At this point, I have run out of so-called 'spectacular photos' from 2024. Since I don’t use other photo-uploading sites, I’ll be sharing 'okay' photos from now on.
In the past, I posted 'excellent' photos (according to my judgment) at a very slow pace. However, I lost hundreds of high-quality images from my two-month Japan adventure when my hard drive suddenly failed in 2017. These photos were waiting for their turn to be uploaded. Later, I used another Flickr account to upload similar photos, but then Flickr began charging for accounts with over 1,000 photos. Paying for two Pro accounts is not an option for me.
I now post two photos per day (sometimes one or three). I hope this pace allows me to upload my good photos before any technical nightmare occurs, without flooding the site with 'bad' pictures (at least by my standards).
You can’t always tell stories with aviation photography. Sometimes, all I want is to simply capture a photograph of the aircraft. However, I always do my best. For example, you might notice a panning effect, with one pilot waving while the other is looking at a stuffed bear.
So as many of you know I have dropped the role of Green Arrow in the DCSG. I guess I sort've wanted to explain why.
First off I've had this role since May, 2015 and since then I have uploaded 11 issues, one of which is just a cover for Vol 1. And at one point I was inactive with the role for 8 months. Truth is, at the end I was running out of ideas too. I think I have three or so issues I wrote, but never got around to posting.
So yeah, that's why I dropped the role. :P
But I do want to thank everyone that's been keeping up and supporting my stories, your feedback and positive reactions mean a lot to me. :)
But since I do, I didn't have a chance to show off my new Green Arrow fig! So here he is, and I'm quite proud of how he he turned out. I believe Chaos came up with the idea for this head first, so credit to him!
Also #MakeTheDCSGGreatAgain :P

Had a great time watching the Red Arrows display yesterday.
The view from the Clifton Observatory was fantastic, the clouds parted and blue skies ment there was standing room only.

Flight Lieutenant Jon Egging of the Royal Air Force aerobatics team (The Red Arrows) died when his Hawk T1 "Red 4" crashed near Bournemouth Airport after a display yesterday, Saturday 20th August 2011.

Darts or Arrows as it is known in the UK, played in pubs and clubs throughout the land both for fun and in league and cup competitions. Made famous in the 1970's with the annual News of the World Challenge and the World Darts Final around the turn of the year, being the only televised events. Today with the advent of Satellite and Cable TV, Darts or Arrows is a multi-million pound sport with millionaire players. HMM
