The Red Arrows was doing a show in newcastle Co Down Northern ireland, while i was not in newcastle its self i was near tyrella beach watching the desplay, and even from my point of view it was great.

The British Black Arrow rocket deploying the British Prospero satellite (far right). The object in between the two is a Waxwing solid rocket motor used as the third stage. The Black Arrow programme was shut down in 1971, making Britain the only country in the world to have developed space launch cability and then abandoned it. :(
Initally couldn't find the Arrow...but passing this point on descent, found it hidden behind a couple logs.
In recent years the red arrows have visited the Bristol Balloon Fiesta and we get a ring side seat in our dining room!
VWS5377 Copyright © VW Selburn 2017: I traveled to the Duxford Imperial War Museum today specifically to take photographs of the Red Arrows. I was not disappointed. The Red Arrows in particular are absolutely wonderful! The flying, the planes, and the crowds took me quite by surprise. It was too hot though! Today's Flying Legends Air Show 2017 commemorated the heroes and their aircraft. I took several hundred photos but I will only be uploading those which really thrilled me. I know nothing about aircraft so if you know what the aircraft are called, please don't feel shy about telling me. I will appreciate it. I shall research as much as I can but in some cases I won't know where to start if it is not mentioned somewhere on the Duxford website.
The Port of Olympia has continued to be involved in the hydraulic fracturing (aka "hydro-fracking," or fracking) industry, seen here handling an incoming shipment of ceramic "proppants". The proppants are used in very deep wells, in the Bakken Oil Shale formation of North Dakota. Because of the extreme pressures in the wells (some are greater than 8,000 feet deep,) the proppants are used to prop open fissures (that have been blasted open by the hydraulic fracturing process.)
The practice of hydro-fracking has come under fire from social and environmental activists, based on several known harmful aspects of the industry, including local to global environmental impacts, harm to Native American communities, and harm to agricultural efforts.
