Bryan Mackenzie Redden is serving 44 years to Life for the murder of a mother and her daughter. The two were killed after he had broken into their home to burglarize them while Redden was high. Redden is housed at Elmira Correctional Facility in New York and is eligible for parole in August 2061
Another year and another lesson in lighting up on University of Michigan property. Had this young woman waited an hour to partake at the Monroe Street Fair – which is on Ann Arbor property – and had the cops actually bothered to care, a $20-25 ticket is all she would have faced, but instead, she's looking at a misdemeanor which carries along with it a $2000 fine and up to a year in jail.

This was the shot my brother wanted me to capture, the baseball suspended in mid-air as he was tossing it. It doesn't happen often but since I was shooting him tossing it around in the first place, I dialed in on the ball and got this shot on the first try. This isn't a crop or anything, just a combination of preparation (ha, yeah right) and a lot of luck (yes! This one!).
I like that I was able to arrest the ball in mid-air like this with a high enough shutter speed. However, I realize that there's a bit of a double-edge sword to this. Sure, you stop it in mid-air but you lose the dynamic action of the shot when it's by itself. There's nothing to compare it to, nothing to really indicate motion. It's just there, a still life, against a background. Sure, it looks cool, but does the composition hold up on its own without context? I'll let you guys worry about that!
We were walking out of Grand Central Station and we've passed by some cops who were handcuffing this girl in a sexy outfit and some paper slippers. I didn't realize where they came from and had no idea why she was being arrested, but it was a curious situation that made everyone imagine what event led to this outcome.

Billy Bob's whole function in life is to protect the electrical equipment and conductors in this power plant from the wrath of Thor. Sometimes that red-haired, red-bearded, hammer welding bugger gets really worked up and pounds the area with lightning to vent his frustration with his wife, Sif. Sif has a tendency to run up huge credit card debt.

Not all leaves make it quickly to the ground. This one was stopped, midway, by a plant. Seen on my walk by the Mohawk River on October 31, 2020 in Clifton Park, New York, USA.
