Nordstrom's Department Store

Pacific Place, Vancouver, BC

An elderly gentleman, dressed in a classic style with a light-colored shirt, khaki pants, and a newsboy cap, walks past the facade of a picturesque shop. He supports himself with a cane as he moves, his appearance and attire reminiscent of a long-gone era.

The focal point of the image is the preserved shop facade. An ornate metal gate with an intricate diamond pattern secures the entrance while offering a tantalizing glimpse of the treasures within. Through the gate, one can see an array of vintage items and curiosities, hinting at a store filled with antiques or collectibles.

The image is treated with a slightly desaturated, vintage-inspired color palette that enhances the timeless feel of the scene.

Very Large Array (VLA) near Socorro, New Mexico. Visit during a storm created some interesting photographs.

Assisted by the LL-26 Workbee, engineers and mechanical specialists work hard on installing a new long-range Subspace Array for Deep Space Outpost Arcturus. The hope is the station can extend it's communication and discovery reach.

[The LL-26 Workbee is one of those builds that I've been sitting on for some time and had not yet featured it in a photo. So here it is! It's small utility craft and it's idea was inspired by a craft in Star Trek of the same name. However, my version of it has these larger manipulator arms. In the next day or so I'll release a breakdown shot of the build and give the full "in-universe" story for those of you who enjoy those :-).]

For those who are interested, unfortunately I am unable to sell the Nova Team minifigures or designs due to the use of the "Classic Space" logo which is owned and trademarked by The LEGO Group. My custom designed figures and use of the official "Classic Space" logo is for personal use only in my MOCs and photography. By the same token, I will not give away the design files and source material either. Thank you for understanding! Trust me, if I could legally sell these, I would.

With the arrival (after being shipped from France, returned to France because of a mistake in the address, and reshipped) of a very nice vintage decaleur of unknown origin, the Bianco build is now complete.

The deployment of ESA's Mercury Planetary Orbiter (MPO) solar array is tested as part of launch preparations at Europe's Spaceport in Kourou. The solar array is not yet installed on the MPO module, which can be seen in the back left corner of the image.

The MPO is one of the three modules of the ESA-JAXA BepiColombo along with the Japanese Mercury Magnetospheric Orbiter (MMO) and the Mercury Transfer Module (MTM). The MTM will use solar electric propulsion to take the two science orbiters to the Mercury, together with gravity assist flybys at Earth, Venus and Mercury itself.

BepiColombo is Europe's first mission to Mercury, due to launch this year on a journey to the smallest and least explored terrestrial planet in the inner Solar System.

Steam Engines of all shapes and sizes gather together for the grand opening of the 2014 Driffield Steam and Vintage Ralley in East Yorkshire,

The impressive combination of G529, A81, X39, XR554, H1 and X41 lift a very late 9028 loaded Pacific National grain train from Piangil in Northern Victoria near the NSW border to Melbourne's Appleton Dock for unloading.

G529, A81 and X39 had been sent light engine from Melbourne to rescue the train as XR554 and X41 had failed, resulting in H1 being the only operational engine left.

The Solar arrays on the International Space Station provide all our electricity: 84 to 120 kilowatts - enough to provide power to more than 40 homes

Toute notre électricité (84 à 120 kilowatts) est produite par des panneaux solaires situés sur la Station spatiale internationale. De quoi fournir de l’énergie à plus de 40 foyers

A picture of my own shadow, as the arm was bringing me back to structure. It was probably the most impressive experience I’ve ever had but it was not easy. I will never forget the robotic arm ride while holding equipment that is three times my weight. The slightest movement increased its inertia (thankfully Megan is the world champion robotic arm operator). Visually it was a bit like holding a fridge upside down, while holding on with my feet over a 300 km cliff face #humblebrag. Quite a few things didn’t go according to plan but I am immensely proud of the team that fought to find solutions. #dreamteam. Shane exudes professionalism at all times, the ground teams and control centre were on point, and then there were our incredible colleagues driving the robotic arm and getting us into the suits (and out again). I might still be on an adrenaline high, but I don’t think you can find a better team. We are going to try to get some rest and consider the follow-up operations.
