Pink, small, and punctual,
Aromatic, low,
Covert in April,
Candid in May,
Dear to the moss,
Known by the knoll,
Next to the robin
In every human soul.
Bold little beauty,
Bedecked with thee,
Nature forswears
Antiquity.

Warm thanks and greetings to all Flickr friends, who encouraged me yesterday when I was down.

Skirret's florets are aromatic but I don't know what they taste like. Its roots - which I've not eaten yet - are said to compare to delicious salsify, one of my many favorite vegetables. Apparently the little flowers are sweet enough to attract a variety of insects among which this delicate female fruit or gall fly, Terellia tussilaginis. It's about 5 mm long so the individual flowers are about half that in diameter.
This is another photograph from my series of the hidden beauties. It is an aromatic herb what can be used for the therapy of illnesses, like for instance stomach problems and head aches as well. So ? Did anyone recognise is already ?
In the kitchen I know it as an ingredient of some fish souces and cucumber salad and I am not a big fan of it.
In photographical terms it’s doing a great job too, especially when You go really close (photo is coming soon).
Because You are all smart and close to nature You did for sure find out already, that this is dill.

Photographed the Big Sagebrush on one of the walking trails at the Echo Canyon Welcome Center Rest Area Westbound I-80 in Summit County Utah U.S.A.
Also known by the names Common Sagebrush, Blue/Black Sagebrush or Mountain Sagebrush, it is a shrub or small tree from the family Asteraceae. It is a coarse, hardy silvery-grey bush with inconspicuous yellow-green flowers and grows in arid sections of the western United States and Western Canada. It is the primary vegetation across vast areas of the Great Basin desert and is an indicator species for high desert (above 1,500 ft.). Like others in this genus, it has highly aromatic foliage. Unlike some others of this genus, it develops a true woody trunk and branches. In maturity the twisted trunk can become picturesque and suitable for bonsai treatment. Along rivers or in other relatively wet areas, sagebrush can grow as tall as 3 meters (10 feet), but is more typically 1-2 meters tall.

This Rosebush was brought to me from a coworker from Greece,
Small pink roses have unique associations for Greeks and Cypriots. ... the small, scented, pink roses have always been popular with the Greeks for their beauty ... home production of rose water, even if they only had one rose bush in their yard.
The aroma is intoxicating especially in the morning,
I have given at least 5 cuttings to friends.
A favorite of mine, highly aromatic and member of the carrot family, I love to roast the bulb or eat it raw. The feathery frowns are fabulous in salads and can grow up to 40 centimetres!
This is a slow as I go these days, hopefully worthy of the theme! In the late 70s/early 80s I photographed fast moving F1 cars. Since then never really gave LEs a go - you would think I should as I we live on the coast. Anyone want to come to ME and give me a tutorial? Oh and a free filter LOL:)

An exquisite aromatic condiment that I adore in curry's and rice puddings. I prefer to shell them and then crush the seeds using a pestle and mortar. You don't need much!.
Many thanks for all views, fav's - and particularly comments - all are greatly appreciated!
Happy Macro Mondays to you all!
When you open your eyes in the morning, you will see the blue sky merging with the turquoise sea. The hotel is surrounded by gardens with shady alleys and elegant tables. We will sit down and have a breakfast of aromatic coffee and fresh croissants. And today we drive home and again commitments and domestic routine.

Few of you who use the spice, cinnamon, will ever ponder over where it comes from, apart from the supermarket! It is actually, made from the dried, inner bark of cinnamon trees! My wife will never buy the ready made stuff, instead grinding cinnamon sticks in a coffee/spice grinder, reducing the dried chunks to powder!
Cinnamon is used mainly as an aromatic condiment and flavouring additive in a wide variety of cuisines, sweet and savoury dishes, breakfast cereals, snack foods, teas, and traditional foods.
Dill has a very characteristic smell.
I also love the herb, because it looks very pretty between flowers.
Tea is an aromatic beverage prepared by pouring hot or boiling water over cured or fresh leaves of Camellia sinensis, an evergreen shrub native to China, India and other East Asian countries.

“Not to be confused with Lemongrass, Citronella is a zesty herb from the same family that is most famous for its insect repelling abilities. It is most commonly used in essential oil form, although the leaves have also been used for their aromatic and medicinal properties.“
