This is disused army village that has been unoccupied for approximately 7 years. It had swimming pools, cinema, church, shops, takeaways, tennis courts, bars, prison cells and more. Unfortunately demolition had started before I made the trip, so lots had already been removed from the site.
Pictures of a US Army Soldier playing guitar, from the Poundin' Sand concert held January 29th on Camp Victory in Baghdad Iraq. The concert featured three groups The Dirty HESCOS from 1st AD, and Tuff Boxx & The Baghdad Horns, and Sunburn, both from the 56th Army Band, aka I Corps Band, aka MNC-I or USF-I Band. This video is compiled from Armed Forces Network footage and from personal videos from audience members. You can follow the groups on Flickr and Facebook as well as they make their way back to the US to perform mostly in Washington and in the western states.
