The Blackout Argument at Arena - Vienna

Qwest Field (left) is the home of the Seattle Seahawks football team. Safeco Field (right) is the home of the Seattle Mariners baseball team. The two sports stadiums stand just south of downtown Seattle.

In the foreground, in front of the two stadiums, you can see the Alaskan Way Viaduct, a major car thoroughfare that runs past the waterfront into downtown Seattle. The city has been planning to tear down the viaduct and replace it. But first, we have to go through a 20-year argument over what to replace it with, a bridge or a tunnel.
