Personal de la Empresa Pública Municipal Aguas del Chuno EP., y de la Dirección de Obras Públicas del Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado (GAD) Municipal dejaron rehabilitada la tarde del jueves el tramo de la calle Las Mercedes, tras repararse los daños de las tuberías de agua potable, y del sistema de alcantarillado de agua lluvia y servida.

La gerente de la empresa Aguas del Chuno EP., Carla Alcívar explicó que los daños de las tuberías se produjeron con el terremoto ocurrido el 16 de abril. Realizado los trabajos se verificó que todas las instalaciones hacia las redes estuvieran bien empatadas, para poder habilitar la vía al tránsito vehicular.

La directora de Obras Públicas del GAD Municipal, Mariana Buenaventura argumentó que en los próximos días se hará la reposición de la carpeta de hormigón, ya que se deberá esperar que el piso o base se encuentre bien compactada y no se presenten nuevas roturas de tuberías en el sector.
