Kefalonia is the largest island of the Ionian Sea, famous for the variety of beautiful beaches. This village is the most beautiful of the island, built on a narrow peninsula with pine forest.
In 1953 a rare geologigal phenomenon, continuous earthquakes for 2 months, destroyed the island and only some villages in the north survived. Assos and Fiskardo are the most popular of them. That's why these villages keep this picturesque arcitecture.

I like how the treebranches contradict the lines and pattern in the Cope building. Gives a nice abstract.
Also check out dirkjandb's and Netream's versions
I haven't looked at any of the above mentioned pictures in particular of this building before i went shooting, so it's interesting to find out how people make their own composition of the same subject.
Rich source of archtecture, nice views of the river Rhine: Köln-Bayenthal is a neighbourhood of Cologne, Germany and part of the district of Rodenkirchen. Bayenthal lies on the left bank of the river Rhine, between the district of Innenstadt to the North and Marienburg neighbourhood to the South. The borders to these are defined by the Southern Bridge (Südbrücke) and the Bayenthalgürtel of the Cologne Belt respectively. To the West, Bayenthal borders with Raderberg.
It combines the residential neighbourhoods from adjacent Marienburg with former industrial areas next to the old "Dom" brewery.[1][2] Bayenthal has 8.473 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2008) and covers an area of 1,28 km² (pop.density of 6.620 inhab./km²). The neighbourhood is served by Cologne Stadtbahn line 16.
