The view looking into Canary wharf during a sunset. The amount of towers that have gone up recently is crazy around this area you can also see in the middle of the picture another one going up which looks like it shall be a big complex.

An HDR shot of The Thames Barrier taken from Thames Barrier Park. A slightly re-worked version of (www.flickr.com/photos/58907883@N06/16297750214/in/datetaken/) with slight motion blurring to the sky and more motion blurring to the water.

BCC POTY 2016 Round 2 Open: Judge's comments: "A wonderful combination of semi hdr work and slow shutter speed. The colours are lovely. However, there is too much water. Exposure is perfect though." initially gave 19.5.

The Lloyd's building (sometimes known as the Inside-Out Building)[3] is the home of the insurance institution Lloyd's of London. It is located on the former site of East India House in Lime Street, in London's main financial district, the City of London. The building is a leading example of radical Bowellism architecture in which the services for the building, such as ducts and lifts, are located on the exterior to maximise space in the interior.

In 2011, twenty-five years after its completion in 1986 the building received Grade I listing; at this time it was the youngest structure ever to obtain this status. It is said by Historic England to be "universally recognised as one of the key buildings of the modern epoch"

An image of the iconic Battersea Power Station, and an inbound Heathrow bound plane. Fans of 1970’s Rock will understand the title. I had a great time photographing the former Power Station, and was blessed with a lovely marble sky, just need 10 million to go and live there!

A Monochrome Version of Battersea Power Station, reflected in the River Thames, shot at dusk. I always wanted to re-visit here, as previously, I had been here, it was little more than an empty shell. The construction and renovation work here is amazing, and I love the way the building is lit, and accompanying reflected lights. An exhausting day, but worth it.

Distel Apartments, London

For the past couple of years I've met up for a day out with a fellow Flickr architectural photographer doing the thing that we both really enjoy, photographing architecture. Joseph Pearson (I've linked to his photostream in the first comment box) and I spent a happy few hours walking around Bermondsey and Canary Wharf back in May. I hope that we can continue to have an annual meet up to shoot a few pictures and better yet, shoot the breeze over a coffee or two. These two buildings, both newer structures within the Canary Wharf estate, sit next to each other and make what I think is an interesting juxtaposition of architectural styles.
