St Paul's Cathedral is an Anglican cathedral in London, United Kingdom, which, as the cathedral of the Bishop of London, serves as the mother church of the Diocese of London. It sits on Ludgate Hill at the highest point of the City of London and is a Grade I listed building. Its dedication to Paul the Apostle dates back to the original church on this site, founded in AD 604. The present cathedral, dating from the late 17th century, was designed in the English Baroque style by Sir Christopher Wren. Its construction, completed in Wren's lifetime, was part of a major rebuilding programme in the City after the Great Fire of London. The earlier Gothic cathedral (Old St Paul's Cathedral), largely destroyed in the Great Fire, was a central focus for medieval and early modern London, including Paul's walk and St Paul's Churchyard being the site of St Paul's Cross.
Another iintentional camera movement photo looking up at the Madison building in London’s docklands. The advertising tag line for this structure is ‘iconic design that creates motion’. Designed by Make Architects.
It is probably a coincidence but 'It's Madison Time' was a popular dance song by The Ray Bryant Combo from the late 1950s/early 1960s. This spawned the Madison craze, which is still a popular line dance. I still own the record bought by my father in the early 1960s. The song and dance was made popular again in John Waters' movie, 'Hairspray'.
Once again the Rubik's Building - you'll see that I do a lot of this building. the glass has a blue tint that always improves the feel and the reflections...........

This rather unglamorous apartment block sits on the edge of the grounds occupied by the St Pancras Old Church which sits approximately midway between Camden and St Pancras Station. I think the actual address will be on Pancras Road and in fact if you view the front façade of this block from the road it looks quite stately indeed. Its a pity the rear side looks so unkempt.
I'm always attracted to stairs and stairwells and I wish I could have got a shot of this stood directly in line with the middle of those stairs but there was a couple of huge trees in the way so I had to take it on the angle you see here.
On a recent visit to London Caroline and I visited the city...
Lloyds Of London is known as the inside out building as elements such as the lifts and pipe ducts are all on the outside rather the inside of the building.
An image of the iconic Battersea Power Station, shot at night time, during the Light Festival which lights up the building to wonderful effect.
Renamed this year after its refurbishment in honour of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, this Tower was formerly called St Stephen’s Tower although often called Big Ben, which is in fact the name of the bell which tolls the hour. In the background is Westminster Abbey and the statue in front is Boudicca and her daughters at the western end of Westminster Bridge across the Thames.
Where Art Deco (1925) heads towards Modernist and eventual Brutalism. Built 1936. Designed by Charles Holden

As the world seems to descend further everyday towards violence what a wonderful oasis of peace is the Superbloom in the moat of the Tower of London, once a symbol of defence, torture and violence.
An image of the iconic Battersea Power Station, and a departing UBER Riverboat Service. I have re-edited this picture, as I was not 100% happy with my original edit. The work on the infrastructure around here is amazing, I’m glad the Power Station has a new lease of life, after many years.
One of the many architectural gems to be seen when wandering around London, this building is near to the now empty City Hall near Tower Bridge.
