Se trata de una plaza de forma pentagonal donde se encuentran cuatro casonas solariegas de los siglos XVII y XVIII.
En este lugar comenzó la historia económica del Valle de Aridane gracias al aprovechamiento de las aguas de La Caldera de Taburiente para regar los cañaverales.
