Rumburk – Loreta

Cityview Plaza. Downtown San Jose, April 2017. It's such a simple shot, but it took a while for it to come together. I stood in the middle of an empty square, trying not to look like a weirdo, while I waited for the right sized plane with the right flight path to come through. Shot with Fujifilm XPro2 and 18-55mm f2.8-4 lens in Acros.
PHOTO ESSAY: DOWNTOWN
It's always fascinating for me to capture geometric imagery like this. So much detail densely packed into one scene... Inspired by the works of Andreas Gursky.
Didn't have my tripod with me for this one and the light was fading fast. ISO400 F2.8 isn't exactly ideal but at least it wasn't blurry. I plan to shoot more Korean apartment blocks and living quarters in the coming weeks as a mini project.
This looks cool large on black
Buddhist temple located in the village of Minnanthu (southwest of Bagan) in Burma. The temple is one of the most-frequently visited in Bagan.
I think my leading lines are going the wrong way ;)
Last night I found out that I got accepted to UC Davis, UC Irvine, and UC Santa Cruz. There are still five schools left who haven't given me admission or denial yet, but is it bad that I'm considering choosing my college based on which will have the prettiest location to take photos of? Hahaha.
PS: Does anyone have any tips on getting rid of the banding in the sky? I've been noticing it on my photos lately. Thanks!

The Loggia del Papa is a 15th-century Renaissance open-air arcade in the Piazza of the same name in Siena, Tuscany, on Via del Porrione. The Loggia was erected by Pope Pius II in honor of his family. Construction was commenced in 1462 and completed within a year. It was a busy period for Pius, as he had also just finished a massive reconstruction of his nearby home village and renamed it Pienza, after his good self. Next to the Loggia (on the right) is the baroque Catholic church of San Marino. It pre-dates the Loggia by several hundred years (!!), however the impressive facade was (only recently) added in 1613, with the bell tower being completed in 1738.
As you can see from my photograph, I was alone on the street. It was not long after sunrise in Autumn, so even in shadows I was getting really crisp reflected light.

I have my own business. I work often with banks and real estate companies. This day I was asked for a very special favor and house sit. The couple was moving and the movers were coming in and couple could not be there. They wanted someone to keep eye on the movers as house was loaded with extremely expensive items. I sat in chair for a few days as they packed up and moved belongings out. This is the main entrance. One angle of what you see. These stairs are custom. One piece of wood makes the curve. The doorway you see there was the library and every wall was stocked with books. Incredible home in Rosedale Toronto, Ontario
