Walk Across the Brooklyn Bridge. One of the most famous bridges in the nation, the Brooklyn Bridge is located in New York City. It is one of the oldest and largest suspension bridges in the nation and spans more than a mile across the East River. For a time, it was even the longest suspension bridge in the world.
The bridge connects the boroughs of Brooklyn and Manhattan. In 1964, the bridge became a National Historic Landmark, a National Historic Engineering Landmark in 1983, and it is one of the most iconic pieces of New York.
One of the most popular things to do while in New York City is to walk the Brooklyn Bridge. Not everyone knows that this is possible, but close to 5,000 pedestrians and more than 2,500 cyclists cross the bridge in this manner everyday. The walk takes at least half an hour, but most people spend far more time on the bridge, taking pictures and reading the plaques that detail the history of the bridge and the city, as well as point out some interesting sights.

Fontevraud Abbey
Fontevraud Royal Abbey, situated where the three regions of Poitou, Anjou and Touraine meet, is one of the largest surviving monastic cities from the Middle Ages.
The first permanent structures were built between 1110 and 1119. Then located within what is sometimes referred to as the Angevin Empire, the King of England, Henry II, his wife, Eleanor of Aquitaine, and son, King Richard the Lionheart were buried here at the end of the 12th century. Disestablished as a monastery during the French Revolution, it served as a prison from 1804 to 1963.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is situated in the Loire Valley between Chalonnes-sur-Loire and Sully-sur-Loire within the Loire-Anjou-Touraine French regional natural park (Parc naturel régional Loire-Anjou-Touraine).
The Abbey was listed as a Historic Monument in 1840, and, as part of the Loire Valley, as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000. In a green valley just a few kilometres from the Loire River, near Saumur, Fontevraud is one of the unmissable stops on a visit to the Loire Valley.

Thought there would be more interesting buildings on this site in Edinburgh but this was the best I could find.
Long exposure with B&W ten stop filter of 120 seconds. The eagle eyed might notice I have flipped and mirrored the building as there was a big sign to the right and a balcony on the left.
Thanks for all the comments asking about my recovery. It's a slow process but getting there. Hopefully in about three more months things will be almost back to normal

A photo of contrasting architectural styles, from memory I think this was taken somewhere in Soho, London.
I'll revert to uploading photos from last Autumns trip to the Cote d'Azur but first I need to process some more so for the next few days my photostream might continue to be a bit random......
