On May 23, 2023, graduating students of the Class of 2024 took part in the storied tradition of the Arching Ceremony. Symbolic for their journey through Ramapo College, as first-years, these graduates were invited to process through the Arch by walking up Mansion Road and now as graduates, they walk down back down. Find out why this year was extra special. www.ramapo.edu/news/slide/arching-2024-it-was-everything-...
We were heading back to the trailhead from Devils Garden in Arches. The sun had just started to go down behind us. It wasn't quite sunset, but the sun had just dropped below the huge rock formations surrounding us. We were hustling to get out because the last thing we wanted was to get stranded in the desert when dark arrived. Despite moving quickly, I was able to snap this shot as we descended down the slippery and steep rock. Hard to decide what the best part was: having this picture or getting out of the park before dark. I say this picture.
