I remember going with someone over to the Wellington Destructor near this spot to check out the building as word online was it was accessible. It wasn't, but we saw Stan who lived in the incinerator and his cats. We walked around and found this old garage under demolition. It was the first active demolition site I checked out with a freshly reassembled shit fish eye, a Zenit 16 that sheared apart at another location the week before.

This spot wasn't super interesting, but I'm still a sucker for a building with no roof 17 years later.

Upstairs in silo city. Grain silos are interesting enough as is, and are mostly intact when you visit them, but when it's whole complex? It's next level. I've spent so much time here and I still think of going back and revisiting them from time to time.

Another shot from Sunday's visit to Clonmacnoise...

I've been here before

But never took any picture

The place was "nice" but I could never find the right light or the right point of view

This thime no exception. We were here before the guided tour to Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper fresco

A lot of people around, noise, confusion...

We decided to come back after the tour.

It was like a dream, no people, silence and this beautiful perfect archiecture there for us to enjoy

This old building was completely torn down and then rebuilt with a condo on top. I'll post a shot of this if I find it here. This was the loading dock area. For months it just sat like this.

Last summer view in Lindesnes on one of the oldest lighthouses to the left beside one of Norway's most beautiful lighthouses!

Kolomya is a lovely old town in southern Galicia, western part of Ukraine, formerly province of Austrian Monarchy. It is stuffed with architectural gems not all of which are in a good condition. But nevertyeless those who have eye can see and really admire the beauty and elegance on almost every corner. It is also full of contrasts. You may pass by fashionable coffee place or modern boutique and by turning few meters in any direction bump into totally abandoned backyard looking like nobody ever took any care of it for ages. The archiecture, at least interesting part of it, rages mostly between end of 18th till beginning of 20th century. Decent amount of Art Deco buildings is also quite impressive, though even untill now most people don't understand their beauty and don't honor them as much as they deserve.

Architectural detail

Absolutely love the use of design and colour on the architecture of this residential area in Paintworks, Bristol. The lines, shapes and colour reminded me of one of Mondrian's minimalist masterpieces.

Kaohsiung Harbor. Former British Consulate at Takao. The British Consulate at Takao (Chinese: 打狗英國領事館; pinyin: Dǎgǒu Yīngguó Lǐngshìguǎn) is a former British consulate built in 1865 in Gushan District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. It has been designated as a 2nd Class Historic Site by the Ministry of the Interior.

Located in Gushan District, it lies at the peak of Shaochuantou (哨船頭) and overlooks Xiziwan Bay and Port of Kaohsiung.[1] It currently serves as a cafe and tourist attraction.

The Gaiety Theatre located between the Ridge and the Mall Road is one of the famous landmarks of Shimla. It was built by the English architect Henry Irwin who also designed the Viceregal Lodge in Shimla. It is an example of the Gothic Revival style of architecture.

It opened on 30th May 1887 as part of the Town Hall Complex and was initially a five story building with a theatre ,ballroom ,armoury, police office, bar and galleries. After two decades it was found that the structure was unsafe and it was partially demolished.Thankfully the Gaiety Theatre remained intact. It became the centre of entertainment and socialisation for the British inhabitants of colonial Shimla and Rudyard Kipling himself once performed in a play here.

The Gaiety Theatre remains the centre of cultural life in Shimla to this day and the tradition of staging plays has continued. Many stalwarts of Indian theatre including Prithviraj Kapoor, Balraj Sahni, Jennifer Kendall, Manohar Singh, Naseeruddin Shah, Ratna Pathak and others have performed here.I have myself been lucky enough to see Naseeruddin and Ratna Pathak perform here.

A few pictures i forgot to upload to flickr. Multiple exposures shot at La Chartreuse in Belgium (Liege)

This time last year I got this shot which got a pretty cool reaction at the time on Flickr -

So when that time of year rolled around again i figured i'd try it out again...

Very different conditions this year - very cold and too windy for reflections, but we got some nice clouds and this time there were a few of us shooting which is always more fun.

Main railway station (Hauptbahnhof), Südtiroler Platz, Vienna, August 24, 2016

The main railway station in Vienna replaced old terminus Südbahnhof. The reconstruction into a through station which took place between 2007 and 2015 linked four major railways which had terminated at different stations as well as S-Bahn and underground services.

Here's a shot of the Provencher Bridge that goes over the Red River and leads up to the Canada Human Rights Museum. Not visible in this shot, the popular tourist spot called The Forks, a National Historic Site of Canada, is behind the museum to the left.
