This quilt top has great I Spy potential: foxes, whales, bicycles, toasters, scissors, etc. The 3" hexies and equilateral triangles were super easy to cut using Marti Michell acrylic templates.
"Hong Kong" means "fragrant harbour"...

This weekend I went to the App Gap to do a bit of location scouting. There are two overlooks that exist there. The first I was able to find last year with the help of some friendly locals. The second slightly higher overlook however remains a mystery.
Long story short, the scouting expedition resulted in failing to find the trail up to the overlook and getting my leg stuck in a tree/hole. Good news is that I now have a new Milky Way spot!
In light of my failures, here is a photo I never got around to finishing. Taken last summer but edited from scratch yesterday.
