Some children made bird feeders from half apples. A few days later the birds had been very thorough! Sometimes of a morning I feel this way too :)
Poem today, a bite of Robert Frost, After Apple Picking
Of apple-picking: I am overtired
Of the great harvest I myself desired.
There were ten thousand thousand fruit to touch,
Cherish in hand, lift down, and not let fall.
For all
That struck the earth,
No matter if not bruised or spiked with stubble,
Went surely to the cider-apple heap
As of no worth.
So much Apple Blossom on the apple tree this year. It's around 10 years or so old now which is pretty young for an apple tree I guess. Apple Blossom is symbolic of a lengthy life and "stands for the concept of life continuing, even after we endure a 'death' during the winter of our lives."
I had extra time to play with the processing today so I did. I have been enjoying the freedom I've given myself on this apple project. There is something so gratifying in experimenting with such strong color combos and creating something out of my norm.
For Smile on Saturday's theme "Anything with A"
Apple wasn't the most original idea but I had apples and that's what I chose.
Surely the apple is the noblest of fruits.

The Apple Blossom tree at the entrance to the National Trust car park near Smalldean Farm, taken on my walk this week
...on our tree! A bumper crop! Hooray! After I took this shot, I promptly ate this apple. It was delicious! I love it when the apple tree comes through! Our apples are leetle, but delicious!
Looks like the squirrel has found something he likes! So many apples in various guises around recently, I wanted to put together a scene that incorporated all the pleasure and beauty of these fruits. Taking things new and old and putting them together in new ways, I love how comforting this scene feels.

Apple Trees In Blossom
"The Old Land", is an area located in the southwest of Hamburg, Germany. Farmers have been growing there apples since the 12th century.

Apples – fresh, colorful, and full of vitamins. These carefully stacked crates not only show the variety of types, but also how much power nature has. Every apple is a little health booster.

Flowers appearing on my big apple trees now. Lovely to watch from day to day. Some varieties are open already, some still at closed bud stage.
We found the perfect spot for a perfect day :3
We defiantly went home with lots of apples xD
The moral of it: Apples are like people .. You can pick them all you want but the best ones are the ones that comes to you ❤
Thank you, Daddy for being you :-)
Trying a monochrome palette today. While editing my image I managed to spill an entire cup of coffee on my keyboard and desk, I forget how clumsy I can be. I will look on the bright side, my desk has now been wiped down and everything has a coffee aroma. Not sure how far I am going to take this color thing it makes for easy composition, but many experiments with exposure and editing Happy Monday!

My new favorite apple, hands down, is the Honeycrisp.
Bought at the farmers' market this past week and enjoyed so completely...
I am weighing my options - I LOVE to eat them just like this, but I found a recipe in the October issue of Bon Appetit for Slow-Roasted Honeycrisps... sounds SO good, but I only have 4 left till farmers' market next Thursday! what a conundrum!
This is the first blooming blossom of the Royal Gala apple. My choice for the theme: Royal.
Thanks for taking time to comment, fave and look at my work. I really appreciate.
Falltime and winter apples take on the smolder
of the five-o’clock November sunset: falltime,
leaves, bonfires, stubble, the old things go,
and the earth is grizzled.
The land and the people hold memories,...
they keep old things that never grow old.

Taken using my 100mm F2.8. Beginning to love this lens now and thanks to my friend Raph i too am now a fan of bokeh.

10,957 days or more simply, 30 years ago, I said "I do" to my husband. Though today is a milestone day it is going to be a normal day filled with our regular schedule of work and such. Tonight my youngest daughter and her friend want to celebrate with us so we will all have a party and dinner. We still enjoy hanging out together, laughing and playing, and need to improve still on getting stuff done. I am grateful for his patience, love and support and can't imagine life without him in it.
