Mayapple is a native perennial wildflower of the moist woods, often found in large colonies in Michigan. They have two large leaves, and a single white flower on nodding stems.

After I cut my little applte tree much to much in the year before last year and it had a break in case of apples, its looking much better this year. I’m quite optimistic, that I will have something to pick.

Nachdem ich meinen kleinen Apfelbaum im vorletzten Jahr entwas zu deutlich zurückgeschnitten hatte und er in Sachen Äpfel eine kleine Pause eingelegt hatte, sieht es dieses Jahr wieder deutlich besser aus. Ich bin recht zuversichtlich, dass ich da auch etwas ernten kann.

Apple tree of paradise blooming in autumn.

Apple width - 6 cm.

This is from the apple orchard near my house. The owners have given me permission to wander in there and take photos. It's a dreamy experience.

The last three apples on a apple tree. The others have all fallen due the recent spell of windy weather and rain.

I tried a portrait of this crab apple tree at sunset with a fast ultra wide angle which has good near range capabilities. The tree keeps these small fruits the whole winter time and so is a delight for birds.
